Day Seventeen:
I got up at 3:45, made Peets, scanned the news—not good out there, more than a thousand deaths in the US.
On Tuesday while I was working upstairs, I decided to pull out my two-meter Ham Radio and I charged it up, last night I tuned it on and listened to two guys talk. One in Concord and the other in Ohio, pretty amazing for a handheld radio. Wow!
Erin and I went for our daily walk, while we were walking the track we noticed a mother and three children inside of a children’s play area that was posted no access. The kids were crawling all over the plastic equipment. It seemed just wrong for the Mom to allow the kids to play on the germ infested equipment. We did our 3 miles and returned home.
I got on the computer to check on the Cobra situation for Erin. I tried to log-in and a notice told me my account had been canceled. I took this as a good sign, because they were supposed to have created an account for Erin only.
After a shower and breakfast I got them on the phone, she registered for her personal account, we made the first payment, set-up auto-pay, and now she is covered. Perfect! She is a happy camper!
We did our own things until 5 pm, and then went to our patio with Erin’s Ipad and wine, and did a Face-time happy hour with Erin’s best friend Debbie. It was fun.
We had salads and did our own stuff until Jessica called and we did Face-time her and Ray. I listened to my ham radio for a while and went to bed…
