Day Twenty:
I got up at about 4:30, made coffee, and got on the laptop and opened my UI insurance website and logged in my hours for the last two weeks so I can get my first-ever unemployment pay. After a little trial and error I got it done and should get my benefits. At this point all money is important.
I checked my email, noticing that my renewal for my amateur radio club was due. It’s kind of funny that the club renewal came up within days of me getting my radio out again. After thinking about it I realized that three years ago at this time was when I got my licence and joined MDARC (Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club). For everything these guys and gals do for us in the way of repeaters and equipment on the top of Mt. Diablo, the yearly membership of 45 dollars is cheap. I have never attended a meeting, but I do get a newsletter monthly, and they say they are going to start virtual meetings, at least during the virus. I hope they continue it—then I would participate. I’m not a club guy, and I had enough of meetings with my old job.
It has been raining all morning, and right now it is coming down like cat’s and dog’s. We really need the rain, and the snow in the mountains. It is supposed to be raining on and off for the next few days. Hurrah!
Time to read…
No walk today…
Erin knitted and I worked on building a frequency list for the radio…
The day seemed to move quickly…
I called my sister Joanne in Texas, and had a drink…
We made our salads and I watched YouTube, Erin knitted and watched shows upstairs, and we went to bed……
