Day Twenty-Five:
I got up at 4, made Peets, and went right to work on my blog. I purposely skipped the news and listened to the guys on our Ham Radio Network. One of our members lives in Australia, and he fills us in on the virus down under daily. I’m in wonder every time I pick-up my handheld radio, being able to talk globally on a two-meter radio the size of a hot dog, that’s incredible.
I guess now I will read the news. Wish me luck…
Erin and I went for our walk, we did 3 miles…
When we got home Erin knitted and re-arranged the small bedroom upstairs.
I prepped my platform on the patio and painted it. While it was drying I put river rocks around the perimeter and filled the center with gravel. I rearranged some of the plants and washed down the whole area.
I took the Dodge out for an exercise drive. I’m trying to get the cars out once a week. I do the same route without stopping anywhere. I go about 6 miles, three on city streets and three on the freeway. Vehicles don’t like to sit around for long periods of time. This is not fantasy, it’s fact.
It is Hot Dog Friday here at the homestead. I grilled dogs and buns and heated-up Bush’s Southwestern Pinto Beans. We sat on the patio and ate our dinner.
We watched a movie on Disney+, and now we are doing our own stuff. Soon it will be time for bed…
