Day Twenty-Eight:
Good morning fellow hunker-downers, of course Peets first!
I spent this morning giving it one last go to find my old podcasts, I searched back to 2010 in my emails to see if I had sent any of them. Nope, strike three, I think they aren’t going to be found.
Erin and I went for our 2 1/2 mile walk. There were more people out there today, probably because it’s a beautiful day today. Fair weather sailors!
Erin and I are going to work on masks for Kaiser Hospital today. I’m going to cut the pieces and she will sew them. Wish us luck.
Seven hours later Erin finished sewing 32 masks. When we got done we were exhausted. Erin put the test to the old Elna sewing machine as she worked relentlessly all day to get the masks done. I worked for about six hours cutting the material on the front room floor on my knees. She loaded them into a box and we will take them to the Post Office in the morning to ship them to Kaiser in Oakland. Great job Baby!
At about 6 pm we got a Face-time call from Jessica, Oliver, and Ray, I love seeing them even if it’s not in person.
I put together a plate of salami, carrots, crackers, peanuts, and goat cheese. I poured Erin a much deserved glass of Merlot, and I had a Vodka Rickey (I’m out of gin). We sat on the patio, consumed our beverages and food.
Bedtime…
