Day Sixteen:
I got up at about 4:30 today, made Peets, glanced at the news and got on the laptop during the time I knew the internet is at its best. I also knew there was a reason for getting up so early. I guess there is no reason its just what I do. Whatever…
Erin and I did our 3 mile walk this morning, there seemed be a few more people on the track today. The weather was clear and about 55 degrees.
When we got home I started going through how much our bills were for everything, I worked on the major ones to lower our monthly rates. So far I called our car insurance company and have them working on some lower rates. I got 10 dollars a month off on our security system. I tried to call our cable company five times and their lines were a mess, three times I got through but they couldn’t hear me and hung-up. The other two times I got a busy signal. How long has it been since you heard a busy signal? That’s crazy! I finally gave-up trying to save money for the day. PS, the money we saved on the security system will pay for this website. Ho ray!
We ran into another snag with Erin’s Cobra, they had not taken me off of the plan and it was still in my name, with a bill for nearly thirteen-hundred dollars instead of six-fifty. I had to be stern with them to get this done because as of today Erin has no health insurance. Not to mention that I had guaranteed her that it was a done deal. I apologize Baby!!
On my stuff: My Part B Medicare is showing on my SSA account, and will be automatically deducted from my SS payment. I also filled out the paperwork for Kaiser, Senior Advantage and saved it until my Part B card comes.
I also went onto UI (Unemployment Insurance) website and my claim has been processed and it looks like I will get my first check soon. I hope!
By the way, the internet today worked well all day on my laptop. What a wonderful thing!
We had grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner, Erin knitted and I watched YouTube until bedtime…
