Day Thirty-Eight:

I woke at 3:30 am, got up at 4, made my morning mud, and read the news. I stuck to the non-political, no virus news this morning. Today will be a writing day. Usually, three to four hours in the writing chair upstairs.

Time for my walk, Erin is going to go later, so I will listen to The Stand

The recording I talked about yesterday, was produced down and dirty, I used my Super 55 Shure desk mic with a Saramonics VRM1 recorder. The Super 55 is a great mic, everyone would recognize it. The VRM1, on the other hand is great for field recording, because of its size and record time, but it has a noisy pre-amp. Long story short it’s quick and easy to use with not much set-up, and it plugs directly into the end of the mic. I recorded and edited the the piece in one hour. Believe me that’s fast for a 3 1/2 minute piece with background music. It’s not my best by any means, but it was a test to see if I could do production a little quicker, you be the judge.(A New Frontier Prologue, Audio)

Erin just left for her morning walk…

It is time to start writing, I finished-up chapter 39 and dug into chapter 40. This chapter could be the end of part one, or the end of the book if I decide to continue it as a series. Tough decision!

I finished at about three and diced up ham, rubbed it with brown sugar and seared it up to use on our salads this evening. I also cooked some crispy bacon to crumble, also for our salads. I think we have a pig theme going here.

We eventually had our salads, and Erin knitted and I watched YouTube.

Time for bed…
