Day Forty-Three:

Good morning, I got up at a little after 5 am, made coffee, listened to the Ham Net, and got ready for my 6:30 walk. I started listening to “The Stand” and locked the back door…

When I got back I got a cup of coffee and went to the fire pit to figure out how to install the piezo electric igniter on the new gas pit. Erin came out and went for her walk, and when she returned I had it finished. It works fine!

I ate a late breakfast and now I am upstairs writing this. While I was working on the fire pit a package came. It is a small electric pre-amp that goes between a microphone and digital recorder. This takes care of the noise in my recordings that I mentioned the other day. Hopefully this will clean-up the audio on my small recorder. If it works I will be able to crank out audio pieces that sound good and speed-up the production process. Wish me luck!

I used the new pre-amp in my voice-over chair this afternoon and couldn’t believe the difference it came out as good as my much larger multichannel recorder and was way less trouble than setting up the other recorder. This means less time to record, great quality, and it is totally portable. Yeah, baby! (Pre-Amp Longer Version)

Erin made pasta and meatballs, with biscuits for dinner, it was amazing. We watched a movie on YouTube “Has Anybody Seen My Gal” with Rock Hudson, we turned it off half way though. It was definitely not our kind of flick. Oh well, we tried!

We went about our stuff and went to bed…
