Day Forty-Eight:
I got up at 5 am…
I certified my weekly hours with EDD and should see my payment tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
I walked my 2 1/2 miles at 6:30, and got back at 7:15. I cooled down and burned some incense, and as usual it took me back to Yosemite. Gotta love that!
I edited ANF, yesterday, today I will start writing Chapter 42. Yesterday I added Chapters 38 through 41 to my formatted manuscript, which means I am through with it until it goes to an editor. My usual method is that I write three or four chapters, I do a read through, usually the next day, and then edit for grammar, punctuation, and spelling (GPS). Once this is done I add it to the manuscript, and then I move it out of my mind, and move on with the story.
Yesterday, I broke my rule and I did (GPS) on the entire manuscript, about two-hundred and fifty pages. Whew!! Now it is really out of my head for a while…
Erin finished our cool new tabletop for the fire pit. It looks great, it is round and has a life ring with a copy of our wedding announcement in the center. We were married on our boat, “The Jessie James”.
I worked on Chapter 42 for most of the day. I probably would have finished it, but Erin and I went on Zoom at about 5 pm and spent an hour and a half with her relatives on the East Coast. Erin shared a ton of pictures of her family, there were great and we all talked about them. Her nephew Michael shared also, and her sister Jackie came along for the ride. Great evening.
I will finish Chapter 42 tomorrow.
We had chicken pot pies for dinner, and watched an episode of “Justified”.
Time for sleep…
